About
Hi! My name is Sarah and if I look familiar, it’s probably from YouTube. My fitness videos have been viewed more than 80 million times. I am a full time health and fitness blogger with a passion for sharing healthy lifestyle information. Given my curious nature, I investigate topics that I find intriguing and bring you my findings. When it comes to health, it seems like the experts can never agree. I use my site, SarahFit.com, to bring you the latest findings, best recipes, most effective workouts, motivational advice and more.
Not only do I share this information on my site SarahFit.com, but I’m also pretty lucky to be an online contributor for Women’s Health/Men’s Health @ Crushing The Course, Laughing Cow, City Sports, Diet.com and Examiner. I was also recently named one of Stuff @ Night Magazine’s “Bodies of Boston.” On the side, I also report for a local nightlife TV show called “Dirty Water TV.” It airs on NESN, Saturday nights at 11:30 pm.
I am a certified personal trainer through the ACSM and currently train clients privately in Boston. As a dedicated athlete in high school, I struggled to find a place for fitness during my college years. Plagued by unhealthy habits, I gained the dreaded Freshmen 15 but successfully lost the extra weight I had put on with the help of fitness and health magazines.
I battled keeping the weight off during the next 3 years and became a women’s health magazine junkie. Health and fitness doesn’t always come easy and sharing my failures and successes in videos and blogs are what has helped my blog grow it’s unique identity.
Fortunately, I thrive on putting myself up to any challenge. Trying new activities is a top priority when it comes staying motivated in my life.
Before becoming a fitness guru/blogger, I graduated from the University of Delaware with a BA in Communication. I also worked at New England Sports Network (NESN) before becoming Senior Video Producer and on-camera host at Diet.com. People love to ask me if I still work at NESN but being a blogger is way cooler.
I can be contacted at business@sarahfit(dot)com for business/pr inquires.
All other mail including questions, help, suggestions, fan mail can be sent to hi@sarahfit(dot)com.
Hi! I'm a 20-something fitness guru, as seen on YouTube. My mission is to enable your passion for healthy living.

Hey Sarah!
I absolutely love love love your blog! I probably visit at least once a day! I am living in Florida for the summer and am taking advantage of my beach for a back yard. I run at night around sunset but I have developed a rash on my inner thighs. It’s a heat rash or one just from my thighs rubbing together. My question for you is if there is any way to avoid this?? I really don’t want to have to wear capris in 80 degree weather. Any advice would be great!!
Thanks,
Silver
Dear Sarah,
You are great! I am so obsessed with your videos. They give me the ambition to workout! I am only fourteen though, so I don’t really know if I can do as much. I have been struggling with my weight for a while now, I just don’t know how to lose the extra. I was wondering how you stay so motivated?
Love, Olivia

Hi Natalie, I was just thinking about how I needed to write a post about this! First things first, you need to go for a run along the Charles River. Not sure where you are staying, but my favorite loop is 5 miles and goes from the museum of science to the mass ave bridge. You can shorten it to 3 miles and can find the details on DailyRun or MapMyRun. As far as sight seeing, you’ve gotta do the freedom trail and visit fenway. Even if you don’t have tickets, go down to lansdown at the start of the game (right at 7 or whenever it starts and go to the bleacher bar or any bar for that matter to watch a few innings). Take a Duck Boat Tour and visit the North End and Fanuil Hall… hmmm, so much! They just caught Whitey so there will be lot’s of media around. Hope this helps!
oh my goodness thankyou soo much sarah !
i feel like i’m talking to a celebrity right now, cause i’ve been following you on youtuebe for about 2 1/2 years, i didn’t except a reply so soon

Hi Sarah,
I have been following your blog and YouTube videos for a year now and have been following a lot of your advice.
I am trying to lose weight and recently bought a gym membership. I have been going to the gym 4-5 days a week since June 1st.
My current height and weight is 5’2″ and 130 lbs. When I started I was close to 136 so it seems I have lost about 6 lbs.
I want to be ideally between 115-120 but feel like I have hit a wall after the 6 lbs I lost and am getting slightly discouraged. I want to lose another 10 lbs but I hear different things as to what to do.
Everyday I go on the elliptical for 45-50 minutes at a level 5-6 an an incline level of 20. After that I do some weights for my arms 5-10 lbs for each arm by following your videos.
I have also been going on the machines at the gym that work your glutes, abs arms and back.
My biggest concern is my legs, especially thighs I desperately want to make them slimmer and my arms.
I was told that I have to do interval workouts but I find that I get bored quickly and enjoy something like the elliptical a lot more.
Do you have any advice?
I was also wondering if I want to be 115 -120 does that mean my caloric intake should be at 1150-1200? I think I may be getting less calories.
Thanks
Hey Sarah,
I have been needing some advice from a fitness guru, so when I saw your video it was like a God send. I have been bodybuilding/powerlifting since I was a freshman in high school and I wanted to know what you think I should do for my contest prep. How long do you think it should be? Should I do keto, carb cycling, calorie deficit? What do you think? Please help me whenever you get the chance.
Thank you
Hi Rachel, I suggest checking out Tosca Reno’s Eat Clean Diet or you can check out the diet plan from my friends over at Tone It Up. They have a great 14-7 day plan for leading up to a competition. Cathy Savage also is great for advice on competitions.
I wanted to see if you’d be interested in enhancing and improving your Wordpress website. My company specializes in Wordpress sites and as a 20-something as well…I’d love to work and partner with you.
I just launched my site to be honest, thank for for offering though! Maybe later, but I just spent money to put this up, I don’t really want to spend any more at this point
Your pool exercise ideas on YouTube were very insightful. I usually train rounds in a pool by treading water, but my wife was looking for a little more variety. We are traveling this summer and my wife is training for a rank exam. These are some great variation we can use while visiting and even in the hotel pools. Thanks.
Hi Sarah! I first started watching your videos and reading your tips through diet.com. I have a question for you regarding the store on the diet.com website. I noticed Focus28 diet is featured on that website. Do you have a review about it? I’m thinking of starting that diet plan but was wondering what your opinion about it is (I trust all your health advice!). THANK YOU!
