ENABLING YOUR PASSION FOR HEALTHY LIVING

goodnessknows snack square product review

I don’t always do flat our reviews on my blog but with all this baby stuff, I think I am going to start. I find myself searching for them. I love them.

I am still though a “health/fitness” blogger and will continue to be when LittleFit arrives but I get sent food and fitness products to test out regularly – not registry like items, yet. Sometimes I buy items at the grocery store that look interesting, other times they are sent to me to try and then lastly, I get sent products as part of a sponsored review. I try to be pretty transparent about which are which, but in the end, the only products that end up on my blog are ones I actually LIKE and are made with ingredients I approve of.

Tasting Snack Squares

Today, I’m sharing a new product called goodnessknows snack squares. They are not a bar! They are a snack square. As part of this sponsored review, I created a review video showing me unwrapping of the bars and what they look like and how they taste. I was surprised at how much I actually liked the snack squares.

I’ve tried a lot of different snack bars, squares, whatever and these are delicious. They taste like they should have more calories than they really do. goodnessknows snack squares are made with whole nuts, real fruits, toasted oats and dark chocolate with no artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners. As mentioned in my video review above, they come in three flavors:

  • cranberry, almond, dark chocolate
  • apple, almond & peanut, dark chocolate
  • peach & cherry, almond, dark chocolate

The apple one tastes like fall and since it is currently fall, I loved it even more!

Each package contains 4 squares which are each about 40 calories. The entire package is just 150 total. The sugars are surprisingly low as well for snacks similar in taste and texture with just 12g. To round out the nutrition, each bar has 2g of fiber, 3g of protein and 7g of fat.

The snack squares are nestled in a layer made with dark chocolate and the topped with fruit, nut and oat goodness. They are soft to eat with just the right amount of crunch coming from the nuts but not overly mushy like some really sweet bars tend to be from all the sugar.

Often after dinner or lunch if I want something sweet, I’ll just break a piece off of a bar that I have. With the squares, it’s nice to just have the option to have a square, and even if you have all four, it’s still only 150 calories. Yes I’m aware that that each square technically probably has about 37 calories or each package should read 160 calories but I’m just sharing the goodnessknows nutrition stats given to me.

I’ve been keeping things like goodnessknows snack squares in my bag because I never know when I’m going to all of a sudden be starving… thanks pregnancy. These are perfect to keep as a safe option when I’m on the go especially if I just need a little something.

Check them out on Instagram, twitter and facebook and grocery stores nationwide!
