Sneak Peek Gender Test Results

I love trying to guess my babies’ genders. With Tommy, I tried all the old wives tales and even a pee test called Intelligender.

Intelligender was actually right for me but I couldn’t find it this time around but I did learn about a new test called Sneak Peek Early Gender DNA Test. It boasted a 99% accuracy and if you could bring yourself to prick your own finger and collect a vial of blood, you could detect your baby’s gender as early as 10 weeks from home for less than $100.

I know there are tests that the doctor can do as well but since I’m under 35 years old, in the state of MA and with our insurance plan, this test was not covered and it would have been more like $300 to take. We scheduled an 18 week ultrasound but I was too impatient.

I ordered the test on Black Friday and waited a couple of weeks to take it. I was 10 weeks and 4 days when I took the test. I sent it in on Thursday and had my results delivered via email Sunday afternoon around 2 pm. Watch the video below to see the results…

So clearly in the video, I 100% believe the results HOWEVER a few weeks ago, I asked Instagram via a poll in my stories if my viewers took the test and if it was accurate for them. A whopping 70% said it was inaccurate! This cannot be true. I mean, Sneak Peek has at least a 50% chance of getting them right.

Someone sent me a direct message and said that she has never been pregnant nor has she taken the test but selected an answer because you can’t see the results of an Instagram stories poll without clicking an option.

So, I asked AGAIN and said please only answer if you have taken this test! This time, the answers were more like 60% incorrect. Still a far cry from the companies promised 99% accuracy claim.

So we will just have to wait and see in two weeks what the ultrasound technician sees!

One thing to add is that the finger prick did not hurt as much as I had thought but it was tough to do on myself. I’m a baby and HATE the finger prick. During the 1st trimester, you already feel nauseous 75% of the time and taking the test did not help.

What do you think I’m having?
