It’s no secret that I am a fan of snack bars. When I was contacted by SOYJOY earlier this summer to try their bars at first I was hesistant. I tried them a few years ago and wasn’t a big fan. I saw that the recipe was reformulated and new flavors were created so I decided to give them a try. As it turns out, I didn’t even recognize the bar! 2012 09 11 09 47 33

The outside has a noticeable golden glow making it look like it was freshly baked! The dried fruit was moist, chewy in a good way and tasted surprisingly really good. My favorite flavor was the Mango, which of course I ate before I could take a picture. The packaging is slightly deceptive in that the bar is noticeably smaller but the taste makes up for it.

2012 09 11 09 47 58

The bars are all 130-140 calories with at least 4 g of protein. The ingredients are simple and you’ve heard of all of them. One shocking ingredient on the label you don’t often see was butter! You can actually taste a little bit of the buttery goodness in a way, so no this is not vegan but it is gluten-free. I try to only eat soy is NOT genetically modified. SOYJOY only uses non GMO whole soy beans which means unlike tofu and soy milk it also retains it’s natural fiber. Other ingredients include raisins, eggs, sugar, dried coconut, maltodectrin (natural fiber source), Rice flour, Salt, Natural Flavors.

2012 09 11 09 46 39

Other SOYJOY flavors include pineapple, strawberry, blueberry and banana. In honor of the last day of summer, I’m giving away a summer to remember gift pack from SOYJOY including each of the 7 flavors, a recipe card with a refreshing fruit smoothie recipe, SOYJOY beach towel, a pair of SOYJOY sunglasses and SOYJOY cooler.

I love summer, but my favorite time of year is early fall when it start to turn a little cooler and I can go back outside for my workouts (plus going to football games and snuggling by a fire are major pluses too!)

I’m from Boston too, and the humidity of summer kills me! I can’t wait for good hair days and football games and pumpkin spice lattes and sleeping with the windows open, snuggled up in my bed.

I LOVE fall!! I just moved to the beach and although I love laying out by the ocean during summer, I cannot wait for cool nights, being able to wear boots, and eating/drinking anything and everything pumpkin flavored!

Having grown up in NH and going to school in Boston I know my answer will not be agreed upon by many. I now live in Colorado and WINTER is the best season of the year. I love the snow, the blue sunny skies and the skiing!!!

I am completely in love with SOYJOY’s. They’re the perfect on-the-go snack! My favorite time of the year is definitely autumn. I love going into craft stores and seeing all the Halloween decorations and Thanksgiving recipe books. I also must admit, I love Starbucks in the fall -- pumpkin spice lattes = my guilty pleasure :)

I am not sad to see summer go. Running in the fall is so much better than running in the heat and humidity. I do miss my kids since they are back at school though. I loved the old soyjoy and they look even better now! :-)

My favorite time of year is spring and fall. I love the temperatures at these times of year, great for being outdoors and being active. I find the hot/humid summers are not my thing, and trying to run and bike in the snow can be difficult.

Might sound weird, but I love the fall rather than the summer because it’s more refreshing to run in the cool air! I am sad that summer is over in the sense that I can’t tan really and back to studying for upcoming semesters but I like it better when it’s breezy and cool.

I love the end of summer where I can feel that little “nip” in the air that fall is on the way. Leaves are starting to drop and the days start to get darker earlier. With fall comes the season of giving, being thankful, of sharing and caring. I love the colors of fall, being a Nov. baby, and enjoying baking for the holidays. I love pumpkins, pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, and just the smell of fresh cookies out of the oven to warm the air. My boys coming in from school, noses sniffing the air for fresh baked goodies. But most of all fall signals a time where families come together and here in Oregon the rainy season starts turning everything green and the leaves changing colors are gorgeous. So I love fall and the anticipation of what it brings, to body, mind and soul. =-)

After a hot dry summer in the midwest, one can’t wait for the cooler weather of fall. The changing seasons bring a fresh feeling of inspiration and spirituality. Not to mention the harvest of fall vegetables perfect for eating clean this time of year!

I am in no way, shape or form bummed that summer is over. I LOVE the fall! My daily runs are better in the cooler weather, plus with leaves changing colors it is more beautiful. The whole family gets out side more, they don’t have to come inside like with the oppressive heat. Finally, I am a blue jean kind of gal. There is nothing better than jeans and a sweater weather.

Hey, Sarah! I have to say that while I do love summer and everything about it, I love the Fall even more! It is hands down my favorite time of year, and I’m thrilled that it is almost that time! To me, Fall doesn’t just have a “scent”, but rather, it has an “aroma!” I just love it- the crisp air, the fashion, halloween, thanksgiving, pumpkins, the leaves falling, everything! And on top of that, there are few things better than a perfect fall apple! Woo,can’t wait haha! :)

I’d say that late summer / early fall is my favourite time of the year, because it’s when you’ve still got semi-long days and the air isn’t too cold in the early morning for my long runs before work, but it’s not so hot that I get crazy sweaty either.

I DEFINITELY love running in the fall rain too, especially when it’s raining really heavily!

My favorite time of the year is summer hands down. I hate when the weather gets colder and the days get shorter. It usually means more indoor work outs on the spin bike or treadmill but I don’t mind. My favorite holiday is Christmas which is probably the only thing thats good about the winter.

Yeah it definitely has to be Fall. I love the cooler temperatures while still having beautiful multicolored vegetation around. The air smells like campfires from the start of people using their fireplaces, every grocery store is filled with new seasonal variations that just so happen to be my favorite things -- EggNogg and Pumpkin and Apple Spice: stuff that makes you feel really cozy inside, and Halloween also happens and it’s my favorite holiday of the year. Dressing up, more reasons to create crazy food items and share them with friends…and LET me tell you about how Fall is the BEST time to go on a run outside! What’s NOT to love?!
