ENABLING YOUR PASSION FOR HEALTHY LIVING

Vegan Avocado Pumpkin Spice Smoothie | Banana + Protein Powder Free

Some of you may find this truth hard to swallow but not every one likes bananas or protein powder in their smoothies. I know! CRAZY. Today, I have one of my favorite smoothie recipes that is made without either one. Given Thanksgiving is later week, this smoothie mimics one of my favorite desserts without the added sugar. I gift you the most creamy, smooth and delicious Pumpkin Spice Smoothie recipe you haven’t tried.

The creaminess is credited to the avocado and pumpkin puree. This recipe was shot on set during one of the SFit Gym shoots. It is not a real kitchen and we didn’t have real ice on hand so I did not make mine with ice in the video. As a result, it literally was more like a pudding than smoothie I would love to savor after dinner. You could honestly make this and have instead of the pie after dinner on Thursday and be totally content. Being pregnant, I’ll have this for with ice for breakfast and pie for dessert but if you are watching your calories, I would say, splurge on the stuffing and save on dessert with this recipe, it is that good!

The Ultimate Fall Whipped Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

  • 1/4 – 1/2 Avocado
  • 1/2 cup Pumpkin Puree
  • 1/4 chopped Dates
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond or Cashew Milk
  • 3/4 cup Ice (omit if you want more of a custard, mousse or pudding texture)

Combine ingredients. Blend together well until consistency is even throughout. Enjoy as a smoothie, as a smoothie bowl topped with some granola or as pudding with a spoon if made without ice!

Black Friday/Cyber Monday Special

I’m really excited about the SFit Gym this new year. We have over 40 workouts and I’m putting together a challenge calendar for the New Year for those of you looking to get in your best shape without spending hours at the gym. Each workout is less than 20 minutes long. Of course you double up, but they are designed to be hard so that you don’t have to in order to feel like you gave it your all. I’ll be including a few non “at home workouts” as well for those like me who enjoy getting outside of the house including optional treadmill/running workouts, spin class or other group exercise classes. While I can’t do the workouts right away in January, I’ll be cheering you on and sharing my meal plan exclusively in the gym since the little guy will have arrived and I’ll be getting back into shape to shoot more videos.

We are having a Black Friday/Cyber Monday special prepared so if you have been on the fence about joining, be on the look out! The workouts for those new to my blog are mostly bodyweight and can be done at home without equipment. You can read more about the gym here.

One Last Thing…

I am pretty excited about Thanksgiving this year as I have so much to be thankful for. I’m thankful for my friends and family who have been amazing this year, an easy pregnancy thus far, a supportive partner during the past 8 months who I could not have done this without and most of all, a healthy and strong baby boy who is due in 6 weeks!

What are you thankful for this year?
