Terra’s Kitchen Meal Delivery Service Review

Finally, I found a meal delivery service that results in a healthy meal in 30 minutes or less. Hi, Terra’s Kitchen!

Ok, I’ve written about many meal delivery services before… Some taste delicious but take an hour to make. Others claim to be healthy, but lack creativity or taste. I usually wish there were more vegetables and more often than not, recipes are super high in calories.

Terra’s Kitchen allows you to choose your meals each week from 32 options, it then sends you your ingredients pre-portioned and pre-chopped in a climate-controlled vessel you send back. This cuts down on TIME, wasteful large boxes and ice packs.IMG_2868The vessel comes with a return label. You just leave it outside your door and FedEx picks it up the next day. It’s already scheduled for you, literally you just have to peel off the label.

The first meal I made was for lunch at home. I tried the Crispy Salmon and Watermelon Salad because it was the quickest. The only cooking required was cooking the salmon in a pan.

This low calorie and gluten free option came with jalapeno, mint, pistachios, salmon and watermelon. Each serving came in at 483 calories which feels high for how light it tasted. I think because it was such a large serving is why the calories feel inflated to me.

Most ingredients came pre-chopped so all I had to do was throw them in a bowl to make the salsa. In less than 20 minutes, my lunch was ready. The salmon came out flakey and tasted very fresh. It was probably the best salmon I’ve ever made in a frying pan to be honest.

I also ordered the Grilled Chicken Taco with Avocado Goat Cheese Sauce. This recipe was so simple yet really flavorful. The sauce was simple combining goat cheese and avocado.

Combined with pico de gallo and grilled chicken, these tacos were on point. This gluten free dinner had 439 calories per serving for 3 tacos.

The third meal that I chose was a roasted Brussels sprouts and grape salad with chicken on top. Again, it took no time to make and was ready in the time it took me to put Tommy down for bed. Nick made it while I attended to my least favorite parental duty. brussels and grapes

The first two meals are still available to order but this one is not. The menu changes each week but you’ll always find a few favorites that stick around for a while featuring seasonal ingredients.

Ok, so the only kicker is that this meal delivery service is a bit more expensive than the others. This is because you are paying for the extra convenience and sustainability of your shipment. Ingredients are sourced from the high quality purveyors and farmers, for example the chicken is free range. You must hit the minimum of $63.49 to order a vessel but shipping is always included. Meals are priced based on serving so you could order a 2 person or 4 person serving.

The salmon was $15.99/serving, the tacos were $12.99 and I forget what the salad was… šŸ™‚

So if you aren’t in love with a meal delivery service yet and have the dough, I highly recommend trying Terra’s Kitchen. They deliver nationwide.
