Two New Cycling Studios in Boston-area

There are two new studios opening up this week in Boston featuring indoor cycling.

B/Spoke is open today downtown at 101 Federal Street offering a week of free classes. Beginning July 16th, students can choose between 30 classes that will range between $20-27/class. Trying to differentiate themselves from the rest of the crop, B/Spoke Studios describes itself as a unique, high-technology indoor cycling and lifestyle studio with an overall holistic approach.

B/SPOKE Studios’ mission is to cater to riders’ mind, body and spirit through their personalized, lifestyle-focused studio. By employing B/SPOKE’s approach, the studio welcomes riders to find a sustainable path to better health and personal growth while enjoying a revitalizing workoutB/SPOKE has 35 Schwinn AC Performance Plus bikes and every ride comes with complimentary bottled water, heart rate monitors, towels, indoor cycling shoes, foam ear plugs, hair elastics and changing areas complete with six showers (four female, two male) equipped with products from Aesop, blow-dryer and hair straighteners.

To sign up for a complimentary class, register at:www.bspokestudios.com. Upon check-out, select the “$0.00 – Launch Week Free Class” option. All complimentary launch week classes are subject to availability and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Limit of one per person.

Then on July 14th, Cambridge will finally get it’s first cycling studio, although this week they are offering a private launch week. Turnstyle Cycle, located in Kendall Square, features the RealRyder bikes. Ya know, the ones that move side to side? The also will be offering TRX and core classes. Turnstyle describes itself as being “born from a desire to create the ultimate indoor cycling experience… [delivering] a superior music-driven ride for both body and mind.” 

To sign up for a class during the private launch, To sign up for a private launch class go to www.turnstylecycle.com and click the green “sign up” on the top navigation bar. In order to be able to sign up for a private launch class, you must enter “igotstyle” in the field titled: “Group Enrollment Code”.
Click “Buy Classes” on the top navigation bar. Purchase Private launch 3-for-1 (it will be the only option). Users will now be able to go to the private schedule and book one spot in one private launch class.

I just completed the RealRyder certification because it was so different than my normal spin certs and FlyWheel that we have here in Atlanta. Huge bummer we don’t have a studio here . . . yet. Wish I were brave enough to open one!
