ENABLING YOUR PASSION FOR HEALTHY LIVING

Lifestyle & Features

Some of you know that I love to write. I’m very passionate about health and fitness. I also love making a difference. I volunteer in my local Boston community. From the Junior League to my blog, I hope I am able to make a positive impact in the lives that I touch. Here are a few of my favorite posts that I have written for my website and a few videos that I hold close to my heart.

Naturally Skinny: Babies stop eating when they are full. Children typically don’t think they are “fat.” When do we lose control of our bodies natural ability to know we are full? How can we preserve our own innocence? Read my take on when I realized I was no longer that girl who was effortlessly “Naturally Skinny.”

Foods That Prevent PMS: I get PMS. I get moody and make irrational decisions. I wrote this post one day when I was in a “mood.” It took many revisions to get it up to par with the rest of my site. I deleted most of it, revealing too much, but I’m still happy with how it came out. My roomie’s friend even mentioned it at the bar. “Your girlfriend wrote about her period,” he told roomie who doesn’t read this website. “Yes. I wrote about my period and I hope it helps at least one other female who survives monthly raging hormones.”

Discovering My Yoga Love Affair: The Photoshop Effect was my first viral video. It has been viewed to date over 10 million times! In fact, I think the French may have borrowed a few of my ideas from Part II. This video is a must see and changed the way I look at advertisements and magazines forever.

  1. i did know not about the organic food its really good that we can learn this from the internet. but i think they should defiantly teach what happens with photoshoping in schools, because teenagers like myself will be like well if they can achieve that perfect body shape so easily than we can, but the fact we actually cant, but some will keep on working for it but might make our selves ill. i didnt realise that almost all pictures have been edited. because i look at celebrities in magazines and feel like they all have this perfect body which is being shown off all the time, and you think that you can achieve it but that there lying is really bad because loads of people put pressure on them selfs to make themselves look like this.
i found this really good 🙂

  2. heyy so I really want to eat a “clean” diet. but i do not have the money or the time to cook every meal or buy all organic foods…. any suggestions?

    1. Honestly, that is a no longer an excuse! They have done many stories on how healthy food really isn’t more expensive. Back in the 60’s we spent 20% of our paychecks on food and had no obesity issue. Now, we spend less than 10%. Invest in your health because if you do not, you’ll be paying $400 a doctors visit! Eating clean requires no ingredients, it’s simple food like an apple, a sweet potato, a can of tuna. Simple.

  3. I eat really healthy on a regular basis and try my best to stay very active. However, I do like to splurge on a sweet treat every now and then. I used to eat the 100 Calorie packs until I saw this video. I learned that just because they are few in calories doesn’t mean they are healthy. I was wondering if there are healthier desert options out there. I’m trying to tone up and lose a few pounds but I still want to satisfy my sweet and salty cravings.

  4. All right, I have written this four times now and I am still almost possitive it will come out as stupid. But, at the store the other day I was walking down a frozen asile and saw something very strange. Organic pizza… Is this any healthier than regular pizza?

    1. It’s all about moderation when it comes to high cal treats like pizza. Making your own is your best bet though so you know how many calories are in it and can load up on as many veggies as you want!

  5. Hi Sarah please send me your email address I have a proposal for you. Thanks -Carolyn
