Art, Wine and Dessert

Last night I went to the CoSo Winter Art show which featured “small works.”  Who knew looking at art was something I would enjoy?

The CoSo (Copley Society) served Sarah Fit approved apps like fresh cut veggies with yummy red pepper hummus which may have been homemade, wine, and shrimp cocktail.  They get an A+ in my book.

Dinner at Sorellina was ridiculously good.  I got the arugula salad which had pine nuts and golden raisins to start and the scallops for my main meal.  I promised my trainer I wouldn’t get dessert but I chose to try this crazy sounding one that was a spin on carrot cake but made with CELERY!  It was amazing.  I would have taken pics had Sorellina not been so busy (and classy).  Sorry guys :(  I blame the dessert cave in on the Pomegranate Martini which might have been the best I’ve ever had, bar none. Or the bottle of wine. Either one.  Does it matter?  (PS this photo is from Post 390 which has on the dessert menu, “A Sliver of Chocolate Cake.”  I was the quintessential female who had to have it!)

Today I am getting my body comp which totally sucks because I have not lost the Thanksgiving weight yet.  Grrr, wine and dessert.  After though I’m looking forward to a fabulous dinner party hosted by the one and only author of A Slice of Wonderbread, and modern day Betty Crocker, Maggie Dinan.

I’m in charge of the birthday dessert but since Maggie uses Tumblr I figured I try and ask her on here what she thinks I should bring.  So Maggie, if you see this and are at work, what should I make/bring?
