It Pays To Live Healthy

Healthy food can be expensive, hello kale chips and fresh pressed juice! But sometimes it actually pays to be healthy. Today I’m sharing a fun new way that you save money by sharing your healthy habits.

Wellcoin is the World’s First Health Currency.

What exactly does that mean?

When you log a healthy action like a workout or meal, you earn coins to use as currency in the Wellcoin Marketplace. It’s that easy. It pays to live healthy.

WELLCOIN DASHBOARD

The Marketplace is filled with items from partners including DICK’s Sporting Goods, PUMA, Reebok, Sketchers, Sports Authority, Fresh City, Hello Fresh, Legal Seafoods, Orange Leaf, Whole Foods Market, Yogurtland, Pure Barre, Republic Fitness, Pure Barre, Prana Power Yoga, Healthworks, Beacon Hill Athletic Clubs, Elements Massage, Gnarly Nutrition, Normal, Zip car, VROU Water and WB Kitchen. Different actions earn you different amounts of coins and verification adds even more. Slowly the Wellcoins add up and you get to cash in!

WELLCOIN MARKETPLACE

Some of my favorites right now include a $10 Whole Foods gift certificate, $30 driving credit with Zipcar and $70 off HelloFresh, a meal delivery service! When you add a picture like this below it helps your actions get verified, helping you earn more Wellcoins and getting closer to some of the grand rewards like a new pair of sneakers.

WELLCOIN PHOTOVERIFICATION

You just need 2000 Wellcoins to earn the $10 Whole Foods gift certificate and since I am one of Wellcoin’s new ambassadors, I’m giving you 500 Wellcoins to get started. Just use code SARAHFIT500 when you sign up. Download the app here or visit Wellcoin.com to join me in earning rewards for our healthy behaviors. You can follow me here on Wellcoin where I’m sharing more of my meals and workouts than I do on Instagram or other social channels!

I’m in Santa Barbara for a wedding but will be sharing some of my #WellcoinWeekend moments on twitter as well so be sure to check in.

Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Wellcoin. I am an ambassador and all thoughts and opinions are my own. I really love this app and thing you will too.

I signed up for Wellpoints just because of the Whole Foods gift certificate that you mentioned but that’s not even listed in the marketplace. What gives? Feels like false advertising.

It depends on your location and there are a limited amount of each rewards. The Whole Foods gift certificates sell out quick but it’s not false advertising. You just have to rack up the coins and then have them when the reward becomes available -- kind of like a sale at RueLaLa. Hope this makes sense?

It also might help to look at all the rewards on a desktop and not just your phone as you can see past ones as well as running rewards.

I read this and got so excited, its such a good idea! But of course when I raced to sign up I learned its only for use in the US…I wish there was a UK equivalent, i’d be on it for sure!
