ENABLING YOUR PASSION FOR HEALTHY LIVING

My 5 Athleisure Staples For The Fall

Today’s post is brought to you by my friends from Danskin Now.

I love a good athleisure outfit. It’s comfy and versatile. You can wear it to the gym or on a lazy Sunday. You can also wear it any day you want if you work from home. Here are my go to pieces for this fall.

A Comfy Zip Up Hoodie

I’ve basically owned the same zip up sweatshirt since I was in high school. It doesn’t go out of style, keeps you warm and is adorable layered underneath a vest for fall fashion.

I’m wearing a purple vintage hoodie ($14.96 from Danskin Now) above on my way to the gym for the first time since my food poisoning. Hence the no make up and unwashed hair. I wore a puffy vest on top with the hood peeking out to keep warm. It was only in the 50’s today.  I layered it on top of my second staple…

A flattering burn out muscle tank

For girls with big chests, high neck lines make you look leanest, in my opinion from personal experience. I love how soft burn out tanks usually are and this one is less than $8!

Muscle Tanks are one of my favorite athlesuire staples. They are great for working out, lounging around the house, and just wanting to look good doing whatever it is on your agenda for the day. As a heads up, this one runs a little big. I’m wearing a size small.

I still love color blocking and this Danskin Now Women’s Active Performance jacket is perfect, especially for only costing $14.96. I got a size medium so that I could add layers underneath since it is light. This jacket is great for wearing during an outdoor bootcamp to keep your hands from getting too gross during a set of burpees or pushups, and since it is so affordable you won’t be crying if it gets a dirty.

A staple pair of black leggings

I have probably 20+ pairs of black leggings but I’m always gravitating towards the same two pairs. This is one of those things I splurge on since you can wear them again and again, season after season. If you are looking for an affordable pair that you can wear with leather boots as well as sneakers, I do love these high waisted ones I’m wearing in the photos that I got for $14.

A good pair of slip ons that look good with leggings to go from yoga/spin/Pilates to errands

I’m obsessed with this style shoe as it looks good with a skinny jean and a pair of black leggings. I wear these to my fitness classes that don’t require sneakers since I either slip on a pair of spin shoes or go barefoot. After class, I’m styling.

Slip Ons

And lastly, as many of you know, I had food poisoning Sunday night. If you’re local, you’ve heard about it on the news, too. The only good thing to come out of it was my hopefully helpful blog post on nursing if you are sick and feeling extra skinny taking these photos. Hah.
