I’m turning over a new leaf and becoming a member of the #DawnPatrol as Rachele pointed out. Why did she say this? On Monday I took a class at 7:15 am and then at 6:30 am on Wednesday at Recycle Studio with her. With the book coming down to the wire, I’m trying to get in my workouts before I normally would even wake up. It’s an amazing feeling. Today, I hit up a quick 30 minute bootycall run around the Charles River before my flight to Dallas. I took a picture of my new Sweaty Bands headband afterwards. I got it at City Sports and all proceeds go to the One Fund.
I took an Uber Black car to the airport because I was running late. I haven’t looked at the receipt yet because I know it was stupid expensive. Uber is reliable thought and they are so quick to pick you up and then you don’t have to worry about paying when you arrive at your destination or tipping since it’s included.I got to my gate as they were calling my group which means I didn’t have time to grab anything to eat on the place. I did bring a Luna Fiber Bar and bag of almonds from home. After sitting on the plane for over an hour, we finally took off. I was not impressed by the communication by American Airlines. The 5-10 minute delay was hour.
The flight of course had no WiFi or good food options so I just ate my bar and almonds for “lunch.” I worked on my book a little in flight but always fall asleep when I fly. I can’t keep my eyes open! I was not productive. When we landed, I was excited to see the rest of the Oakley Women Ambassadors. The girls are fabulous and all have their own unique star talents. I met them in Utah and was excited to reunite! At the hotel, we all were pretty hungry and grabbed a snack before dinner. We all got salads because they sounded the best. Gorgonzola, olives, avocado, sprouts and endive? Yes, please! We are going to dinner shortly so I didn’t want to spoil my Texas appetite!
If you follow me on Facebook, you know I’m in Dallas for the Oakley Progression Sessions, part of the Shape Magazine Diva Dash race on Saturday. We are looking for the Next Oakley Women’s Ambassador. I’ll be managing the social media tent while Carrie and Cari teach a bootcamp, Marni gives a nutrition lecture and Lacey teaches Yoga.
I am headed back to Boston tomorrow for Memorial Day weekend before heading to the cape. What are your plans for this weekend?
Such a quick trip! This weekend I’m hoping to road trip to a beach with friends. 🙂 Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend, Sarah!
I had a blast at the OPS in Boulder! Have a great trip 🙂
Yeah! You’re in my home state!
Have a blast!!
Have a great long weekend Sarah! Im planning to complete a 3 day cleanse; http://www.doctoroz.com/videos/dr-ozs-3-day-detox-cleanse-one-sheet, but worried about my high sugar and carbohydrate totals and low protein consumption after day one. Im second-guessing the benefits of this fruit and veggie cleanse as compared to my normally clean-eating lifestyle. Any thoughts?
Thanks for the the shout out and link to our site : ) Love your blog!
Delicate question: Any tips on how to prevent getting a sore butt in spin class? And I don’t mean sore from the workout, but from the bike seat. Do people just deal with some discomfort or am I doing something wrong? Cycling newbie here and this seems to be a major hurdle. Thanks, Sarah!
