I’m Going Back! New Mommy and Me Workout in Boston

I have an exciting announcement! Starting Monday November 29th, I’m returning to teaching and will be teaching a Mommy and Me workout in Boston. Come break a sweat after Thanksgiving and work off some off the pecan pie and stuffing.

Put it on your calendar right now. The first Monday after the Holiday weekend, you are going to come workout with me and bring your baby.

This was always my goal and it only took a gorgeous new studio to lure be back.

When: Monday’s at 11am
Where: Burn Fitness Back Bay, 867 Boylston Street, Boston MA
How Long: 45 Minutes 

I’m going to be leading a Mommy & Me workout at BURN Fitness Studios Back Bay location – which is also opening on Monday November 29th. The location is across the street from the new Eataly (which is opening the same week) on Boylston street. The door is between Whiskey’s and Back Bay Social Club.

Come for a workout, meet other local moms and then grab lunch across the street!

More about the class:

This workout is going to be a combination of building a sweat while also focusing on new mom areas of concern including rehabbing abs, pelvic floor and lower back pain. If you have taken a class with me at Burn or Barry’s Bootcamp, you know my style. Get ready for an actual workout with a little bit of mama love.

From AMRAP sets to circuits, we are going to make the most of your time. We will be using our body weight as well as dumbbells and benches. I’m going to help you get abs like this!

Fit For Holidays Abs

This is me 9 months postpartum. It took me ALL NINE MONTHS to get here. There will be modifications for new moms, moms with C-sections and advanced options for crazy ladies like me who were ready to get after it at 5 months postpartum.

If you baby starts crying, I’m happy to hold them, you can hold them or you can nurse them/feed them and take a break in the other unused studio for privacy. I don’t mind a crying baby during class and the other new moms won’t either. I promise.

We will not be wearing out babies but you are welcome to if your baby enjoys being held that way. Bring them in a car seat or stroller. There is an elevator, do not worry!

We ask for non-mobile babies for now but if your little one is chill and won’t run around like my little guy, you’re welcome to bring them too. If you’re a new(ish) mom and your baby is with a sitter, grandparent or partner – you are welcome to come too! I’d also like to welcome any moms who want to workout even if your baby or grown child isn’t with you.

The closest T stops are Mass Ave on the Green Line or Back Bay on the Orange. There is also metered parking all on Newbury and Boylston.

I hope this class will provide motivation to leave the house, meet other moms and get some serious endorphins. I found these classes to be so helpful for me and I wished that there were more. If this time doesn’t work for you, let me know in the comments below as we are testing the schedule.
