Looking to lose weight in 2010? Before you jump in to a strict no sugar, no carb diet and fail before the 3rd of January here are a few tips to help you succeed this year! Don’t be afraid of the weight room! Studies have shown that lifting weights is more effective in losing fat than cardio alone. By building muscle, you are creating lean body mass which will burn more calories while you are not working out but at rest. For women afraid of bulking up, stop worrying! There is nothing that will shape your body faster than pumping some iron. Go for a weight that you can do about 15-20 reps but can barely eek out the last rep.
