ENABLING YOUR PASSION FOR HEALTHY LIVING

Landmark Orchestra Picnic Summer Goodbye

I did not want to get up today knowing it was the first day of September!  The last week of “summer” has been a successful week for me.  Not only did I form my own LLC, but I also signed an exciting contract for my YouTube channel that will hopefully land some fun collaborations with other popular YouTube Stars!

I started my day with a visit to Barre Method in Boston.  I loved the class with McKenzie and was so sore this morning in my quads and triceps!  I can’t wait to go back.  Stayed tuned for a review/recap.  I had a protein pancake for breakfast when I got back.  A few hours later I had a grapefruit as a snack.

I wasn’t too hungry at lunch, surprisingly.  I made lettuce roll ups with deli sliced Turkey.  I used romaine lettuce leaves, dijon mustard and a little red pepper, eggplant and garlic spread from Trader Joe’s (it has only 15 calories per tablespoon).  In addition, I had a handful of grape tomatoes, baby carrots, a baby cucumber and 8 almonds.

Since yesterday was National Eat Outside day, I asked roomie out on a date to the esplanade for the last performance of the summer by Landmarks Orchestra.  I made a big salad and roomie had left over parsley pesto pasta salad with meatballs.

I could not believe how packed the hatchshell was!  OMG.  The Landmarks Orchestra performs almost every wednesday for free and I am just making it here for the last one.  We were lucky too because the Boston Ballet was performing with the symphony for the night.  They played part of Swan Lake and we got to see the lovely ballerinas perform.

We were not the oldest people to attend.  There were tons of families, young people sipping on wine, couples on cute picnic dates.  We brought our beach chairs and enjoyed the perfect weather.  It was a great way to say good bye to August.

What are you most looking forward to this fall?  I’m pretty excited to run the Urbanathlon!
