Merry Christmas to you all. I hope you enjoy the day off from work and if you can’t, enjoy a little R&R.
Instead of waking up at my mom’s, this year I spent Christmas Eve with Roomie’s family. We had a quiet evening eating homemade raviolis, drinking wine and watching It’s a Wonderful Life.
Roomie’s sister made raviolis from scratch. I didn’t realize the picture was blurry, but they were delicious. Instead of pasta, she used rice wonton wrappers.
Roomie made a salad that had a lot going on. I gotta give him credit for trying to make me happy with a large salad along side the traditional pasta his family always has. The combinations were a bit odd but he made me proud. Beets, olives, broccoli, celery, artichockes and mushrooms.
We are heading to meet my family later this afternoon to exchange gifts in Boston. Since it’s 7 degrees Farenheight outside, I am staying warm indoors until then. I did a little 4 mintue meditation from BexLife on YouTube and a 10 minute Yoga video from Tara Stiles to wake up and stretch out a little.
I hope Santa brought you everything your heart desires!
So sweet that he made you a salad!
Sounds like you had a great time! Merry christmas ๐
Merry Post Christmas to you! Great food as well. I had amazing food over Christmas as well. Love it but don’t at the same time. Lots of calories to burn!
I’m kind of new to your blog, so this might be a silly question, but is your roomie your boyfriend?
Not a silly question at all. Yes. When I first started the blog, he requested I keep him anonymous and I stared calling him my roommate when we first moved in together 3.5 years ago because it was hard not to mention this significant person in my life. It’s kind of become a joke among our friends but he is not on Facebook, twitter or any social media so it’s kind of fitting that he is a mysterious person as well on my blog.
What a great view for some r & r! And the fire looks so cozy. Happy holidays to you from Germany! xo
