I am addicted to RueLala. It’s bad. Although I only purchase items maybe 10 times a year, I probably look at what is for sale almost every day. Today, they have a home sale and featuring some of my kitchen must have appliances.
To make my protein pancake, I use my hand mixer a minimum of twice per week. It’s also great to make banana soft serve ice cream and soup in the winter. Today, on Rue the Cuinsart “Smart Stick” Hand Blender & Chopper is on sale for just $45. Here’s a catch, sometimes I use my favorite blender as an alternative if I can’t find my mixer. using blender to mix all the ingredients was a fun life hack.
There’s a white one that is on sale for $19 too!
When trying to lose the last 5 lbs, I use my food scale for meals that I prepare at home. I’m terrible at the “a serving a chicken should be the size of your palm” game when it comes to measuring. It’s easier for my to just put my chicken on a scale and measure out 3, 4 or 5 oz. It’s pretty awesome as well for creating recipes and determining the nutrition information.
This Kaloric Kitchen Food Scale is on sale on RueLala today for $25.90. Once you know the weight of your food, I just use the MyFitnessPal app to keep track of my daily meals. There is another from Cuisinart that is a little more expansive.
On my current wish list is a dehydrator, an espresso machine and perhaps a slicer like this one Gadget gift pack to peel my mango and juice my lemons. This would be a great gift!
What is on your current kitchen wish list? Is the size of your kitchen holding you back from buying the things you want like me or do you ponder how much you will really use the item?
Make sure you get an Excalibur Dehydrator. They are the best. I think they are running specials now. If you do not get an Excalibur, please do not get a round one. They are too hard to make crackers and wraps and things. On my wish list is a Vita-mix. oh how I want a Vita-mix. Why do they have to be sooooo expensive. Do you have one?
I do not have a vitamix but I do have a ninja blender! Thanks for the dehydrator rec too!!
This lady is amazing and she has some great videos to give you some ideas on using the dehydrator. http://www.dehydrate2store.com/ Let me know when you get one and I will send you some recipes.
I want to get a juicer, but I don’t want to get a cheap one that won’t juice well and i’m not sure if I want to spend the money on a nicer one and not use/enjoy the juice, then there is more money down the drain.
I want a juicer but I know I’ll use it like 2 weeks out of the year and they look really big and are $$.
