SOYJOY Giveaway!

It’s no secret that I am a fan of snack bars. When I was contacted by SOYJOY earlier this summer to try their bars at first I was hesistant. I tried them a few years ago and wasn’t a big fan. I saw that the recipe was reformulated and new flavors were created so I decided to give them a try. As it turns out, I didn’t even recognize the bar!ย 2012 09 11 09 47 33

The outside has a noticeable golden glow making it look like it was freshly baked! The dried fruit was moist, chewy in a good way and tasted surprisingly really good. My favorite flavor was the Mango, which of course I ate before I could take a picture. The packaging is slightly deceptive in that the bar is noticeably smaller but the taste makes up for it.

2012 09 11 09 47 58

The bars are all 130-140 calories with at least 4 g of protein. The ingredients are simple and you’ve heard of all of them. One shocking ingredient on the label you don’t often see was butter! You can actually taste a little bit of the buttery goodness in a way, so no this is not vegan but it is gluten-free. I try to only eat soy is NOT genetically modified. SOYJOY only uses non GMO whole soy beans which means unlike tofu and soy milk it also retains it’s natural fiber. Other ingredients include raisins, eggs, sugar, dried coconut, maltodectrin (natural fiber source), Rice flour, Salt, Natural Flavors.

2012 09 11 09 46 39

Other SOYJOY flavors include pineapple, strawberry, blueberry and banana. In honor of the last day of summer, I’m giving away a summer to remember gift pack from SOYJOY including each of the 7 flavors, a recipe card with a refreshing fruit smoothie recipe, SOYJOY beach towel, a pair of SOYJOY sunglasses and SOYJOY cooler.

2012 09 11 09 47 42

I was suppose to run this giveaway during the summer but with my plate full, I dropped the ball. This summer was crazy and I’m looking forward to my favorite time of year, the early fall! To enter the contest, let me know down in the comments below what your favorite time of year is… Are you bummed the summer is over? Or perhaps you love the holiday spirit?

I love the end of summer where I can feel that little “nip” in the air that fall is on the way. Leaves are starting to drop and the days start to get darker earlier. With fall comes the season of giving, being thankful, of sharing and caring. I love the colors of fall, being a Nov. baby, and enjoying baking for the holidays. I love pumpkins, pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, and just the smell of fresh cookies out of the oven to warm the air. My boys coming in from school, noses sniffing the air for fresh baked goodies. But most of all fall signals a time where families come together and here in Oregon the rainy season starts turning everything green and the leaves changing colors are gorgeous. So I love fall and the anticipation of what it brings, to body, mind and soul. =-)

Yeah it definitely has to be Fall. I love the cooler temperatures while still having beautiful multicolored vegetation around. The air smells like campfires from the start of people using their fireplaces, every grocery store is filled with new seasonal variations that just so happen to be my favorite things -- EggNogg and Pumpkin and Apple Spice: stuff that makes you feel really cozy inside, and Halloween also happens and it’s my favorite holiday of the year. Dressing up, more reasons to create crazy food items and share them with friends…and LET me tell you about how Fall is the BEST time to go on a run outside! What’s NOT to love?!

I love Fall. I live in New Orleans so the summers here are brutal. Even more so when our humidity is 1000%. Our Fall gives us a nice crispness in the air which i’m longing for.

I am sad that summer is over, because it always seems a little more blissful than the rest of the year. Buttt, I would have to say that I think my favorite season is fall. I love the air getting crips, the beautiful change in colors, and AWESOME running weather.

I think summer is the best season of all. Nothing like a good walk and/or workout, followed by a nice soy joy bar. While I do eat the bars during the cold weather months, I find that I enjoy them more during the summer season. I look forward to a free sample as well. Thank.

I love, love LOVE fall. Living in Minnesota, we get all 4 distinct seasons, but when it’s cool enough to sleep with the windows open, the air is crisp, the leaves change… it’s perfect!!

Spring time is most definitely my favorite time of year, mainly because the temperature isn’t too hot, and its beautiful to see nature come alive after the long cold winter! Plus it isn’t too bad to be able to bring more workouts outside ๐Ÿ™‚

I am so torn about the changing seasons! I am a runner and LOVE early summer morning runs with my girlfriends, so I am bummed about the dark mornings which means late morning solo runs. I do love the crispness in the air and look forward to pumpkin everything!

I love the fall….I live in Florida, so we don’t get all of the pretty colors of the leaves, but we do get some cool down with the weather. A welcome change after the heat of the summer!
