Yesterday I got up nice and early for Ultimate Boot camp. It’s a class offered throughout Boston in parks and on the streets. I opted to take the 7 am class (vs the 6 am which is entirely too early for me) and it was a chilly 40-degrees outside. When I arrived, I quickly realized that other participants all knew one another fairly well. These are what they call “boot camp junkies.” They sign up session after session. Most do not have gym memberships.
The boot camp is set up 3, 4 or 5 times a week. You pick your location and time. The sessions run from 6-2 weeks long. Each day you have a different trainer, usually the same one on Monday and Wednesday and a different one on Tuesday and Thursday. The trainers mix things up so the junkies don’t work the same muscle group two days in a row. I was told the previous day they ran hills on Beacon Hill with squats in between. Glad I opted for Thursday! I ended up joining the class for the last day of the session. The others were chatting about a party they had that night with the rest of the boot campers, presumably to celebrate their accomplishments.
We started with a jog around Boston Common to warm up. I’m not sure I could do this in the winter everyday given the nip in the air. The day was called “Trainers Choice.” The trainers are given body parts and workouts for each day to avoid overworking the same muscle group two days in a row. Sometimes it’s cardio and abs, other times it might be upper body. Today’s trainer Linea, said she caters to the more advanced but always provides modifications.
We did a dynamic warmup (similar to that of cross fit), then a ladder of exercises to complete in 15 minutes:
- 10 Burpees
- 20 Pushups
- 30 Squat Jumps
- 40 Bicep Curls
- 50 Step Ups (25 L, 25 R)
- 60 Walking Lunges
- 70 Bicycle Crunches
- 80 Skaters
- 90 Shoulder Taps
- 100 Crunches of Choice
We finished with some partner exercises and the class was over! The time flew by and I burned about 500 calories! I ran 5 minutes to the park so I subtract those calories. The only exercises I did not particularly care for were the skaters (my back hurt after about 40) and the crunches at the end but no one actually got to 100 because we ran out of time. However, since every class is different, it doesn’t really matter! Chances are, I would not have to do it again. The camp runs again this Monday for two weeks for a Hard Core Holiday workout. The prices vary based on the number of boot camps you have completed, the junkies pay less and the newbies pay more, a nice incentive for their dedicated fans.
To find a class near you, check out Ultimate Bootcamp. I definitely think I want to try another class to see how much it really varies. I felt challenged in the class I took but am always looking for new ways to really push my comfort zone. The class runs throughout the year. I’m curious what happens when the snow starts coming? My best advice is to dress warm, wear gloves and bring water.
12 Days of Christmas
Today’s giveaway is a brand spanking new pair of sneakers from Puma called the PUMAGILITY. It is a super light-weight, flexible training show for both men and women. It debuted on Black Friday and retails for $90. These would have been perfect for
PUMAGILITY is also great shoe for taking classes at the gym. “The pyramidal shapes that form the midsole and give the shoe its sculptured look are completely functional, too. It’s a nice little tech story: they compress on impact and widen the shoe’s base to create a stable platform — one that doesn’t compromise the shoe’s flexibility and lightness. Flex grooves provide a smooth heel-to-toe transition during a jog or a workout requiring side-to-side movements, too.”
I will admit I have not tested a pair of these but they sure do look cool! To enter today’s giveaway, leave comment down below.
Have you ever taken a bootcamp class, and if so did you do it throughout the winter? What happened when it snowed?

Yes i took this active training class and it was in the winter but not when it snowed we had to do a circ uit/zumba class outdoors and it was 0 degress and amzingly cold
I would love these sneakers!! I love that they are cross training they look like they give a ton of support!
Those sneakers look awesome! I have only taken one bootcamp class, and it was in the Fall- loved it, but couldn’t keep up with it money wise at the time. Good idea for the winter though- keep the holidays healthy!
I totallly want to win these awsome shoes.
Have never taken a boot camp class but have always had my eye in taking one.
Would love to enter the giveaway! Thx ๐
No I have not taken a bootcamp class but I really want to because I love challenging myself and I think that it would be really fun and rewarding! Maybe someday… ๐
I did take a bootcamp class, and it was during the winter, but it was all inside. New England winters are usually brutal, I agree!
Love the article! and the shoes are pretty cool ๐
I have a question -- What type of HRM do you use? It’s cute and I’m asking for one for Christmas so I’ve been trying to do research on different kinds ๐
Polar FT60 -- I love it ๐ If you have a question and i see you have twitter ask @ChrisPolarUSA -- it might by PolarUSAChris but one of the other.
thanks! I was going to ask the same question!
Those shoes look awesome!!
I live in Atlanta currently but I’m actually moving back to Massachusetts today. I’m hoping to live in Boston by the summer so I’m definitely going to have look up one of these boot camps ๐
Those shoes are mineee!! Size 10 please! ๐
I’ve never taken a bootcamp class but my workouts are set up very much like them. They do look fun/intimidating though ๐
Cute shoes! I want them! ๐
Love those Pumas!!
I did a crossfit type training/bootcamp throughout winter! However, I was in charleston, sc so it doesn’t snow. When it got too cold, we ended up going to the gym!
I want to visit Charleston so bad! Do they have any good 1/2 marathons in the Spring?
I have taken a bootcamp class but it was inside. Would like to take one outside if it was available in my area. Love the shoes…so colorful!
These shoes are adorable!!
And this boot camp class sounds wonderful (and intense!). I would love to take one to add some much needed diversity to my workouts (i typically run a few miles everyday).
๐
Those shoes are awesome. Fun that you tried the new class. I don’t know if I could do all that in the cold. I am a Texan and don’t do well with cold weather. I am such a cold weather wimp! ๐
I’ve only done indoor boot camp classes -- they are really challenging! I think I would like doing it outside, but not in the winter.
LOVE THE COLORS OF THE PUMA’S!!
LADIES PUMA HAS FRIENDS AND FAMILY THIS WEEKEND FOR 40% OFF YOUR ENTIRE PURCHASE ONLINE OR IN STORE =) I’M EYEING A FEW WORKOUT GEAR!!
I have taken a bootcamp class. Our bootcamp classes take place indoors around here though. There are minimal places to work out around here so we “deal with what we can get” but we love every minute of what we are offered!
I love taking classes in the gym they help me stay interested when it comes to cardio! I especially love Zumba! I have also been doing the exercises you have posted and I absolutely love them!! Thank you for keeping me motivated throughout the holiday season!
I’ve never taken a bootcamp class. Being from Canada, once it snows I just go to the gym whenever I can instead of running outside.
I take a bootcamp class every morning at 6:15 and I really like them. It allows me not to have to think that early in the morning and I also don’t have to come up with a workout routine on my own. The workouts are different everymorning, so I get a well balanced workout everyday. I simply show up and they tell me what to do, it’s perfect!
I would love to do a bootcamp. I saw that none were near me after looking through the link you provided. I’ll have to see what other bootcamps are available near me. Those Pumas do look awesome.
I was only able to take a bootcamp class while in college (it was offered as part of a running course!) and loved it! I have a bit of exercise-ADD, as I call it, so boot camp exercises are a great way to keep me from getting bored. I’ve never taken one in the winter and I always shy away from the cold, but I would assume that constant activity like that would help with the chill!
I haven’t ever done a bootcamp, but I’ve been thinking of signing up for one just to try something new. If I do, I won’t have to really worry about snow since I live in Phoenix ๐
I have never taken a boot camp class, but they look challenging.
Hi Sarah-
I’ve done a couple of bootcamp classes, but they were always in the spring or summer so snow was never an issue! I would love to get involved again- but they are pricey ๐ I LOVE Boston! Keep it up girl!
I live in Boston and did not even now these classes existed…thanks for letting me know! I love the shoes and am always looking for a new pair.
oooh pick me!
I’ve never taken a bootcamp class -- always been intimidated by them. In winter I just use DVDs or treadmill.
The only bootcamp class I’ve taken was inside through my gym. NYC has a lot of outdoor ones and I keep meaning to try them, but I think I’m better with the flexibility of lots of different class times available through the gym. I bet they are a great workout though!
I’ve only taken a Kettlebell Bootcamp class. It was fun, but did not continue because of the location. I have been looking for other bootcamp classes but have yet to find one that really works with my schedule.
I’ve never taken a bootcamp, but I did take a cardio kickboxing class. Always a breath of fresh air after you work out and then head back outside to your car. Help keep my winter blues away!
I usually do my own bootcamps at home when I can’t (or don’t feel like) making it to the gym. I’d love to try a class though -- but maybe not in such chilly weather!
Love the shoes! Their funky and would go well with my vibrant tempo shorts.
Congrats Tiff! You won the sneakers! Please sent me your shoe size and address at Sarah(@) SarahFit.com ๐ Happy MONDAY!
I have taken a bootcamp class, but mine took place in the summer.
I LOVE boot camp classes! Before I moved I would take an hour and a half class with my mom Mondays and Wednesdays. It was so much fun, because we would do lots of circuits, or do some strength at the beginning and end with an indoor soccer game with those GIANT soccer balls. It is so much fun & I miss it!
Also, those shoes are so cute! I am an Adidas girl, but I was literally JUST thinking this morning before my 3miler that I want to add to my running shoe collection to switch things up!
My “new” running shoes from the spring are really getting worn out. These are cool! I’d love to try them.
Hey Sarah! I have never taken a bootcamp class before. There are so many in my area but the cost is always too high. I’m just a broke college student!! My Dad and I do train with a local running group though. We have run two Turkey Trots, two half marathons, a 10k, and a slew of 5ks! We live in Dallas so we don’t really get snow, but we do get ice. In the winter when it ices really bad we just have to hit the tredmills because running outside is too dangerous. I have never been to Boston, but good luck with that snow! Bundle up and don’t slip!!
Yes I have taken a bootcamp class before! I really enjoy them & the community aspect of them, it’s a great way to meet liked minded people in your community ๐ I have taken them in the ‘winter’ but I live in Florida so I don’t even know if I can call it the winter haha but no it’s never snowed
During a bootcamp lol
I loooove bootcamp style classes- especially when I’m not in the mood to work out. I love that you never do any exercise for more than a couple minutes. No matter how hard the exercise is, you can do anything for a minute! Right?!
Those shoes look amazing!
Lucky for me I live in Florida, so I do not have to worry about the cold. I have never taken a bootcamp class before, but they look so cool. I will have to look on up in the Pensacola area.
I have never taken a class like this but am very interested. They sound fun and I love the fact that the exercises are not repetitive. I ran cross country and track in college up North, and when it would snow our long runs (12-16 miles) were horrible. The worst was when there was ice on the ground and we had a tempo or speed workout, all the girls on the team had battle wounds after practice from falling so much.
I have never taken a bootcamp class, but I took my first fitness class this fall at my College. It was a spin class and I loved it! Too bad I will be too swamped with school work next semester to take it again!
I have only ever taken an indoor bootcamp class (I live in Canada, it’s FREEZING here) but have always found them addicting!
I too just signed up for a BootCamp/Crossfit style class, sounds very similar! However, I’M SCARED! ha ha! Maybe some new KICKS would give the the confidence to Kick some trash in my new classes! ๐ You’re very inspiring! Congrats on all the success!
I’ve haven’t taken a bootcamp class since I’m a night shift nurse and they’re always too early and my sch is never the same to do something with so much structure.
Yes, I did once through the winter in college. Everyone wore underarmor and it reminded me of nordic ski practice!
I have not taken a winter bootcamp, but I’d love to! One of my favourite winter activities is cross country skiing since I’ve never learned to snowboard. It’s a pretty good workout and you don’t even notice it!
I’ve never taken a bootcamp class but I’m always looking for new ways to workout! I wonder if there are any around me…I’ll definitely have to look. Not sure if Chicago winters would cooperate with an outside workout though ๐
No I have never taken a bootcamp class before but it sounds really challenging, I think that I may have to try it at least once in my life! Love the sneakers!
Question- what brand/style WATCH are you wearing? I have the Body Media Go Wear Fit (like the body bug) but it’s stupid because you don’t know how many calories you’ve burned until you sync to their website- who has time to do that everyday? and it doesn’t tell you what your H/R was or is. So dumb. I want to know right here, right now what’s going on!
I need santa to bring me a cute sporty watch like yours! : )
I took a Bootcamp class last winter and loved the results I saw! I admit I wanted to quit a few times throughout, but I am so glad I stuck with it because it ended up changing my body drastically! When it snowed, we would do some exercises outside, and some inside the gym! ๐
I LOVE those shoes!
I have never taken a bootcamp class before, but that sounds like quite a workout! Would love to try that eventually, especially outside! ๐ I want those sneaks!
No, I haven’t taken a bootcamp class. I’m more of a hot power yoga type person plus some running. With hot yoga you get to escape the freezing temps so its is especially awesome this time of year =)
Love em!
Haven’t tried bootcamp yet! This one you took looks INTENSE! San Diego has some very scenic location where they offer classes. I might try one next spring/summer, winters here are very mild but it gets dark too soon and because of work I can’t go to either morning or afternoon classes.
I love that watch, oh my gosh!
I’ve only taken indoor boot camp classes! I go to school in NYC but am from Boston, so I am going to try to take some outdoor boot camp classes this winter. It sounds more intense!
Those shoes look fantastic!
I have never taken a bootcamp class, but I hope to in the future. ๐
My sister did a boot camp class every morning for a couple years, and i have always wanted to go because she would tell me about all of her success’ since doing it. It’s dream i need to make reality ๐
I need new shoes for my workouts!! I’m using old running shoes which I know is a no-no. :/ Colorful too!!
I’ve always wanted to try a bootcamp class, but I don’t know how motivated I’d be in winter!
i totally love them! i hope i winn! ๐
First off, your blog is amazing! From the recipes to the workouts, I LOVE IT! Second, I have done bootcamp before. I love it. I find it such an easy and fast way to lose calories. (when I say easy, I do not mean because the class is easy lol) I did it throughout the whole summer from May until August, and now I go to my local YMCA and they have 1 class throughout the week. That coupled with spinning, running and weights is a good way to stay fit, lost weight and be healthy. I have heard of some bootcamps in Montreal (Canada) that run throughout the winter, however I think it starts more in February when the weather is STARTING to warm up.
I love Pumas and have been thinking about getting the PUMAGILITY shoes.
The boot camp I teach is in a gym (we use a basketball court), so we don’t have to worry about the weather.
I’d love those sneakers and I might try out that class as well!
I have never participated in a boot camp class but I hope to build up an endurance to that level where I can do something like it :]
Those shoes are beautiful! I’ve never owned high quality exercise shoes before so I’d love a pair like those.
Thanks Sarah :]
I have never taken bootcamp, they don’t offer that in my city ๐
I had 2 broken feet and it is sooo hard to find shoes to workout in. I <3 bootcamps. It does not matter winter summer spring or fall. I love exercising.
I’ve never tried a bootcamp class! I would love to try one when the weather gets warmer!
I’ve always wanted to try a bootcamp class but I’ve always been far too intimidated to actually go ahead and sign up for one. Maybe I’ll be brave soon and go for it ๐
I have never taken a bootcamp class in the winter, but they offer one here in Eugene. I am interested in taking it but I don’t know how I would do in the 30-40 degree cold mixed with rain. It snows occasionally here but we get the rain hard January-May! There was a groupon last year for a bootcamp class in the Spring so I am looking out for that again.
I love these shoes! I’ve been looking for new tennis shoes that will support my feet!
I did a boot camp class once, but I wasn’t the biggest fan. I think it’s because I generally don’t like working out outdoors. And in Canada I wouldn’t dare do it in the winter when it’s regularly -30 to -40 degrees celsius!
I have never taken a boot camp class, but it does sound interesting. I’ll have to look and see if they do something like that near here and how much it is because I really wanna join now! ๐
P.S. -- Those shoes are AWESOME looking!
I do a boot-camp called Camp Gladiator and it is amazing. I live in Texas so there really isn’t much of a snowy winter. The worst its ever been during boot-camp was 28 degrees. I’ve been looking for new shoes since my others are getting worn out from running and boot-camp. These look awesome! HOPE I WIN!!!!
I’m a fitness newbie so I’ve never taken a bootcamp class before but have signed up for one at my college starting new semester! These sneakers would be a great addition to my new healthy lifestyle! ๐
Great sneaks!
I’ve never taken a bootcamp class; I prefer at-home workout routines. These shoes would be PERFECT for exercising! They seem to be durable, and they’re gorgeous!
Nope… never taken a bootcamp, but I did play rugby for several years … and yeah, we practiced and played in snow blizzards. It was intense!
I have never taken a bootcamp class before, but I love the idea of them, especially in the winter!
Those shoes are great!!
I hope you go to a bootcamp class in the snow and tell us all about it! It could be fun!
These shoes look fabulous!
I’ve never participated in one of those boot camps, but it sounds like an awesome way to get the body moving and warm up on a cold morning ๐ Wouldn’t mind checking one out (especially wearing those sneakers).
Those shoes are fabulous!!! I love the colors of them and I’ve always been a fan of pumas! I would love to have those shoes! I’ve done a boot camp class a few times in the mornings before work! I loved it and getting my workouts done in the morning before the rest of the day so I don’t have an excuse of being too tired at night!
Yes, i have taken a boot camp, however it was in the summer ! Loved it looking into a new one near me!
I’m looking forward to going home for Christmas break and taking some bootcamp classes with a friend from high school. It should be a nice change from my usual routine. I hope kettlebells three times a week has prepared me for it! P.S. Cute shoes! I’m definitely in need of a new pair. My old ones (Reebok ZigTech) really got put through the wringer after my dad and I climbed Half Dome in Yosemite National Park last summer. Between the training and the 18-mile hike itself, my shoes just couldn’t hold up!
Wow! That’s sounds like it must have been an awesome experience! 18-miles of hiking! Way to go and Congrats!
I haven’t taken one yet, but I signed up for one the week before Christmas!
I actually run my own bootcamp in Charleston, SC. I have 7 locations with only 2 being outside. We are going to push through but luckily it doesn’t snow here (well, maybe once every 4 years).
Ever in Charleston, come visit the workout!
love the shoes! my favorite colors!
I do an early morning bootcamp. I love it, super challenging. It’s indoor/outdoor so it runs throughout the winter. Love those shoes, hope I’m the lucky winner! ๐
Those sneakers look awesome! They would make a perfect Christmas gift for… me! Of course I would use them to stay on track during the holiday party season! ๐
I am going to start taking group classes in 2 weeks i have been working out on my own up until now, I hope people are welcoming and nice.
I took a boot camp class for 3 months. It was 3 times a week but it was in the summer. I enjoyed the classes a lot but it was a little expensive for me. They charge 100/month. I think that seems like a lot of money. Am I alone in thinking this? The others that go there seem to have no issues with it.
I think that is a great deal to be honest. It’s about twice that here in Boston.
that’s a great deal! for my boot camps they are $127/month for 3 classes/week. But then again I also keep my classes small, only up to 13 women per boot camp.
Love the shoes!
i love your blog! ๐
I did a winter boot camp session last year but although I live working out I was miserable. It was solo cold!!! Even our kettlebell handles would turn too cold to touch. I am much more happy doing a summer boot camp.
I’m mostly just a zumba junkie but i do keep hearing about these boot camp classes. Your post makes them seem like a lot of fun! I didn’t know they switched it up every time. I hate when things are really consistent. Probably my biggest hurdle when exercising.
Please enter me in the giveaway too! I love pumas, but have never tried the pumagility! ๐
thanks!
LOVE those sneakers. Desperately need a new pair. Haha
Love these shoes!!!
No I have never taken a boot camp class! But would love to it seems as if it would be fun!! ๐
I love boot camp work outs!! I belong to the Baytown Adventure boot camp and have been attending classes 4 days a week for almost 2 yrs. I love the different variety and intensity of works. We don’t have snow in Texas, but when it gets below 32 we work out in a gym.
it gets that cold down in Texas!? I’m surprised you don’t have snow but I have a feeling you’ll get a few inches sometime soon with all the crazy weather changes. We had tornados in Massachusetts this year!!
I havent taken a bootcamp class, i prefer boxing classes. It doesnt snow where i live in australia
I haven’t taken a boot camp class, but would love to in the future. I think it would be a good challenge for my body and mind!
Have you ever taken a bootcamp class, and if so did you do it throughout the winter? What happened when it snowed?
I have never taken a bootcamp class, I am soo not at that fitness level yet. And it sounds pretty intimidating. Oh man, I hate cold weather (stupid east coast) so I tend to snuggle up and hide during the cold months. Lol so it’s safe to say I wouldn’t be doing burpees in the snow. Thank God for indoor cardio workouts!
those are the cutest sneakers ever!!!!!! I am in desperate need of some new workout shoes!
I have taken both classes and I love the feeling after I enjoy a bootcamp class! I feel on top of the world and so strong! ๐
I teach bootcamp classes! In the winter, we had a space reserved indoors. I love teaching it outside way better though ๐
Would love these new sneaks!
I have never taken a bootcamp class! However, I know running and exercising when it’s too cold is not good for your muscles and it can make you sick! I am interested to see what happens.
I would love those shoes! As a poor college student…they would be a blessing! My Asics are very old! Thanks Sarah!
I have never taken a bootcamp class, Iam just getting back into workout routines..Im trying to strengthen my core do you have any good tips for someone who has had a lower back injury?
I am completely knew to working out and successfully lost 42 lbs in 3 months but with my weight my shoes are very important but I can’t seem to find the right fight. Id love to try them out! Sarah please keep posting blogs I enjoy all the tips and inspiration. Everyone could benefit and learn from you!
I’ve never taken a boot camp class because I just can’t justify paying for it, but I would still love to try it someday. I like to set up my own circuits at the gym. Those shoes look awesome!
I’ve always wanted to take a boot camp, but social anxiety stops me from doing group fitness classes an I’m in central FL, so snow isn’t an issue here. I’d love some new sneakers!
I have taken a boot camp class before but it was a class provided by the gym. It was intense and I was really sweaty by the end of the class which made me feel acomplished. I felt the pain finishing the class and a couple of days later.
I take a bootcamp class every other Saturday at my gym! It’s usually indoors, and it’s my FAVORITE class. I look forward to it every time. They will have an outdoor class about twice a year when the weather is really good, but usually it’s indoors. We start out in the aerobics room and usually the instructors will set up a circuit, and we split up and do each station for 1-2 minutes. Stations include: Jump squats with a step, jump rope, pushups, mountain climbers, bear crawl/crab walk, walking lunges with a medicine ball, etc. Then when we’re down with all the stations, we usually will run to the bottom of our three-story gym and then up to the top, run around the track and repeat three times. Then back to the aerobics room for another round of the stations. One more time on the stairs/track and then we cool down and do abs for about 5 minutes before class is over. It’s the BEST workout, and the instructors are so awesome. I really look forward to that class.
I LOVE those sneakers. I’m seriously drooling over them!!!
I have never taken a bootcamp class. I definitely want to try one soon!
Cute Puma ๐ Ive never taken a bootcamp class before, am going to look up something nearby right now! Trying to experiment more this month, Thanks!
Love those shoes! They would be great for strength training and cardio classes!
I just took my first ever boot camp class. It was challenging moving from squats holding a 25lb bar overhead to pulling 100lbs across the floor to doing mountain climbers, etc! I was sore/couldn’t move for the next 3 days!! Wowza!
Haven’t ever taken a bootcamp class before, but it’s definitely on my list of things to try!
I wonder if there is a winter, Boulder boot camp class.
Those look totally awesome! I live in the UK though ๐
Bootcamp under 40 degrees is tough. I have never done it in the snow, but just walking through a snowdrift is a serious workout. Other than trudging through snow, not sure how many exercises one could really do. Really like those sneaks.
Those shoes are so cute! I would love a pair!
Those shoes are so cute! I currently take Tuff Girl bootcamp classes that started out as ones in a nearby park in CT. Recently the instructor purchased a beautiful facility with weights, jump ropes, TRX, etc so I’m excited the winter bootcamps will now be inside. So I guess I’m lucky the bootcamps became popular so I won’t be fighting the weather especially with my asthma. : )
Totally rocking shoes! We have a few bootcamp opportunities around town but with 3 kids I can’t find one to accommodate my schedule. Shame as I really think I’d enjoy it.
I have not been to a bootcamp as I live in a small town. But me and my sister try to to do something active like go running in the track or bike ride!
I have not taken a bootcamp class yet! Currently, I’m addicted to barre workout classes! Have you tried one of those? And those sneakers look awesomeeee!
I’ve never taken a bootcamp class, but I’ve always wanted to! But not in the winter!
I haven’t ever had the opportunity to take a boot camp, but would love to!!
I love those Pumas!! And I really need new shoes. I would be so grateful!!!
I do a boxing bootcamp class every saturday but its indoor.s. I am in Scotland so ita already minus degrees Celsius here, way too cold to do outdoor bootcamp!
I love boot camp classes! Mine was only offered in spring, summer, and fall. In the winter, it was straight up body pump classes & Zumba. Still fun though! ๐ these shoes are awesome!
I haven’t taken a boot camp class yet. I had never heard of them until I moved to Cali assuming it was a West coast thing cuz of the winters in the North East.
Ah I would love to win these! I actually love love love bootcamp classes. I generally dont push myself hard enough when I’m alone so bootcamp classes are great for me
LOVE those shoes! I have done many boot camp classes but they are held inside my gym. We go outside and run only when its above 60 degrees or so.
I love bootcamp and the winter is actually my favorite time to do it. What can I say? I love the crisp air. Fortunately, in the SF bay area we don’t get snow so we bootcamp it up rain or shine!
I haven’t signed up for a bootcamp class but I know there’s a company that offers it in my area.
I’ve only been thinking about joining a bootcamp class.
Those sound like great shoes for all of the indoor classes I take at my gym, p,us they have purple my favorite color! Thanks for posting ๐
awesome shoes!!
ive never taken a bootcamp class. i’d love to though!! i love that kind of workout.
I have never taken a bootcamp class, but after reading your description of it, I want to!!
I have never taken a boot camp, but I would like to take one. I need to find 1 in vegas that starts at 530 in the morning
I have never taken a bootcamp class but it sounds awesome! I wonder if there are any in LA. Sure do need it with the holidays coming.
I have never taken a bootcamp class but I know I will one day!
Right when my very favorite (gym) bootcamp instructor started teaching an outdoor class (in Prospect Park, Brooklyn) I moved away from the city. I think that is one of the things I was most bummed about missing. Now I live in Paris and am not sure such a thing exists…I try to do my own in my apt at least!
Wow, the boot camp sounds awesome! Pity we don’t have it in Vienna. I love the shoes, too. Would love to have them!
There are boot camp classes that take place in a park close by to me. They look amazing, and some of the people have really toned up. For me, I am trying to start p90X and running in the morning.
I’ve never done a boot camp before, but this blog post is definitely makin me consider it! Those shoes look perfect, so even if I don’t win I might have to ask for them for Christmas this year!
Would love to win the sneakers…asking for a pair for Christmas ๐
Bootcamps are an awesome way to get in shape! Do you offer them in the BOSTON area Sarah? ๐
I have never taken a boot camp class, but it sounds great!
I havn’t taken a bootcamp class but one day I would love too! Just have to get fit enough to survive through one! I would love to have a pair of trainers as I can’t afford any at the moment and train in bare feet :S
And I love the colours!!
I have never participated in a “boot camp” but I saw one locally that looked like fun. Its a “warrior camp” and the do things like sprinting through mud pits and walking on fire!! Very cool!
I have thought about doing boot camps, however I am freaked out at the possibility of being the slowest, least in shape in the group. I’m an over-achiever in everything accept my weight.. so it would drive me nuts to be the “biggest loser” in the WRONG way.
I’ve never done a bootcamp but they sure seem intense. Idk about doing it in the cold, snowy weather in northern Ohio. I think I would get lost in the snow before I got a workout! ๐
Yes I love bootcamps. It doesnt snow much in New Zealand around my area but we still continued the bootcamp after the big earthquake as it was a way to de stress, vent and see people, also all the gyms were too damaged.
love these pumas! :]
i would love to win the shoes!!
Thanks for everything you do sarah!
love your blog!
i would love to win the sneakers, so cute ๐
Never tooken a bootcamp class but would love some day…=)
Sorry most of my workouts are at home or at a park….!
I actually do a bootcamp 3 times a week and am going on month two. It sounds similiar to what you described and I have really enjoyed it. We are lucky that ours is in a church parking lot and when its chilly we will run outside but go do the other moves inside.
not sure if its too late for the contest… but I took a bootcamp class once -- it was kind of a joke and thats when I decided I could do a better job and went after my NASM CPT ๐ I’m starting as a wellness coach at the Y soon
I am not sure I could make it through a boot camp class
I haven’t taken a Bootcamp class before but I’m considering one this winter. I guess I’ll find out about what they do about snow!
This shoes look sick, I’ve been looking for a new pair of gym shoes. And I’m going to give that workout a try over after exams and on my Christmas holidays, it should give me a good jump start back to working out.
Those sneakers are cute I need a need pair so I can start jogging again
What brand and model running watch is that?
polar ft60
Love the shoes!! XOXO
I have taken bootcamp classes, I had an amazing outdoor bootcamp 5:30am at the Y, it was intense, but I really enjoyed every minute of it. I want the ToneItUp diet plan so bad, can’t afford to buy it, but would love to win it.
I need some new running shoes for outside running/walking, on the treadmill and for gcse p.e. These are stylish and colourful, a great win.
