ENABLING YOUR PASSION FOR HEALTHY LIVING

New England Sweet & Spicy Trail Mix with Harvest Snaps

There are so many movies I want to see thanks to the Oscars! Luckily for my sake, most are going to be out on DVD or On Demand pretty soon. My chances of getting to a movie theater are slim to none these days. Included on my short list are Joy, The Big Short, Concussion, and of course locally based and now Oscar Best Picture, Spotlight.

When it comes to movies, I hate to admit that I love me some mindless munchies. I try to bring my own snacks in an attempt to avoid eating 1000 calories while sitting on my butt for 3 hours. Mixing lower calorie salty snacks with nutrient dense nuts and sweet treats like chocolate candies makes for the perfect movie theater trail mix.

Sweet and SPicy Trail Mix Harvest Snaps

In honor of Spotlight winning the top award at this year’s Oscars, here is my go to New England Sweet & Spicy Trail Mix with Harvest Snaps. The cranberries are a local fave, as is Unreal Candy which is based in Boston. My favorite part however are the Harvest Snaps because they have 5 grams of protein in a voluminous 110 calorie serving!
