I found this quote on Marie Purvis’ facebook page. She is one of the Nike Trainers that you might know if you had the old Nike Women Training app on your iPhone. Naturally, I friended her on Facebook because I think her exercises are great. She posted this quote and I had to share it with my readers.
“You are entirely up to you. Make your body. Make your life. Make yourself.”
Working for myself, my motivation comes and goes. Typically, it takes a photo shoot to really buckle down. But finding inspiration like this helps me realize I don’t need a deadline to kick my butt in gear. Repeating mantras, like the one I quoted above, has been shown to have an amazingly powerful effect on the human mind. They allow you to go distances further than before, improve will power and overall health. Marathon runners have quotes they too say over and over. With 26.2 miles, how else do you stay sane?
Do you have a mantra? If so, what is it? What is your favorite inspirational quote?
I leave with a favorite video of mine on how to get motivated to workout!
