ENABLING YOUR PASSION FOR HEALTHY LIVING

New Whole Foods Market in Massachusetts to Love + $50 GC Giveaway

Living in a city I take for granted having amazing grocery stores within walking distance. Whole Foods Market has been on a roll lately opening new locations all over the country. The latest outpost is in Westford, Massachusetts. The nearest Whole Foods Market is about 25 miles away which was fascinating to me since I have 4 within 2 miles of me.  I was invited with a group of bloggers to check out the new space before it opened to the public.

Like every Whole Foods Market, this location specializes in bringing local products into it’s store including one of my favorite Boston food truck’s as an in-house restaurant. Get behind the scenes by following their Instagram or on Facebook.

Clover is a meatless “fast food” place where you can grab the most amazing “Chickpea Fritter” sandwich with hummus and loads of pickled vegetables. I posted a pic on my SnapChat recently. They hand cut their french fries in plain view and change the menu seasonally. This Whole Foods Market really embraces the open kitchen concept.

From the cheese cut to order, a seafood filet theater to the open bakery that even has a viewing area for children, you really get to watch your food be prepared.

There is also a fresh juice bar right when you walk in, which is ideal if you come to shop hungry! Sip on a juice or smoothie to avoid buying tempting groceries. Kate Middleton’s trick for cravings apparently is that she has a smoothie when she wants sugar. I personally think the pressure of being a modern day princess always in the spotlight is enough to keep one thin, but I have to agree with the Duchess. I too did this when I was pregnant except I had a vanilla smoothie when I craved an ice cream milkshake.

Other unique features include Scratch Bread in the Bakery that you slice yourself, a self serve pasta bar, Nitro Coffee and Tea, electric car chargers and the decor! You might notice that the colors and fonts are a very different at this location.

Things I love about Whole Foods is that you know the foods you buy are held to the highest standards and are always the best quality.

I’m a huge fan of their 365 Everyday Value pantry staples and locally made products. In my next career I want to be a Whole Foods Market forager, the person that gets to taste and find these local gems in every region!

The local products are labeled throughout the store so they are easy to spot. I’m really looking forward to summer and being able to eat more local fruits and vegetables.

The Everyday 365 products are great for staying on budget. Like other Whole Foods Market’s, there is a killer salad bar in addition to sweet offerings. I love UnReal Candies and these not yet filled bulk bins make it too easy to go overboard. If you are not familiar with the brand, it’s basically a local company that specializes in making non GMO, no artificial colors, natural candy that mimic childhood favorites. Basically, M&M’s without the garbage ingredients that taste equally if not more delicious!

Whole Foods Market Westford is located at 160 Littleton Road in Westford, MA and is open every day 8am to 9pm. I love to go grocery shopping around lunch or dinner so that I can eat a meal in store. I love the convenience of the ready made meals and prepared foods.

Also, if you shop at Whole Foods Market and haven’t downloaded their newest app, you’re missing out on some huge savings opportunities. You no longer have to cut out coupons in store from the flyers but simply open up the app and scan one barcode for all the potential savings. You can see what is on sale too ahead of time which is helpful for meal planning.
