Most of the time, our journey (whatever it may be) is not a direct path. We have highs, we have lows and yo-yo in between.
I used to never take pictures of my body because I only wanted to capture it in “perfect” or ideal shape. I’m trying now to remember that it’s all about the journey and I wish I had more pictures from right after I gave birth.
Tommy and I went swimming a couple of weeks ago at my gym and I took this picture, but didn’t post it because I didn’t think I looked good enough. Looking at it even 3 weeks later, I have no idea why I thought this… probably because I felt like I was eating cake around the clock with T’s birthday parties. In 10 or even 5 years, I want to look back and remember my body as it was and not some photoshopped/edited/perfectly angled version.
Since I gave birth, I’ve been able to see my body change noticeably from a deflated soft belly to a strong and toned looking stomach. Seeing results is what keeps me going. As soon as people stop seeing results, they are more likely to quit a new workout program.
Right about now, people who have started a new diet or fitness routine give up. They throw the towel in. They aren’t seeing results and they stop pushing forward. If you don’t care, I’m not here to tell you that you should but if you do, here are 5 reasons why you might not be seeing those results that you are want.
If you are struggling to see results, I have a new video on my YouTube channel focusing on the top 5 reasons you’re not seeing results. I also share how to solve the problem if one of them hits home.
At what point post baby did you start feeling like yourself physically ? IM four months post and have lost 30 of the 40 pounds I’ve gained. I can’t believe how much lumper everything still is. I don’t have the super drive I did pre baby at the moment either.
I would say that at like 9 months I was ready to workout full steam ahead. Before that, I didn’t really care but 9 months was when summer ended too 🙂
