This week is going to fly by! I’m so excited. I’m going to NYC tomorrow for an event being held by Fitness Magazine called Fitness Blogger Meet and Tweet (#FitBlogNYC). I’m excited to meet all the incredible voices behind some of my favorite blogs and catch up with some old friends. Joe Dowdell will also be speaking, who I haven’t seen since my “All You Can Eat” license was called out last September if you recall…
Before the meet and tweet on Wednesday, I am scheduled to hang with my long lost fitness babe of a friend, Katrina. I’m writing it on here so she can’t bail on me! You might know Katrina from the unstoppable duo of Tone It Up. Katrina got her YouTube start with me on DietHealth videos on YouTube.
I’ll be heading back home in time to make it to another event at the Reebok Headquarters on Friday! My videographer is going to be joining me so I’m super excited about sharing the experience via my niche.
First, Reebok sent over some swag in a cute purple backpack, to which Roomie asked “Are you in 4th grade?” I think it’s cute and I’m loving the black and white sneakers. I’m excited to do CrossFit and not be forced to complete the standard the intro workout, Baseline. I want an actual CrossFit workout and I’m hoping Reebok, as the official sponsor, brings it!
In regards to the trip to Canton, I’m feeling a little nervous. My father worked for Reebok most of my life. I used to go with him to work all the time. I was even on the news once as part of a ‘Take You Daughter To Work Day’ feature. I’m preparing for some weird deja vu.
Random fact: I wasn’t allowed to wear other sneaker brands until I reached High School!
That means, I wasn’t able to participate in the Samba craze of 4th grade. It was a tough time in my life. I think my first non-Reebok pair of sneakers were Sketchers in 7th grade. My mother’s wardrobe during the 80’s and early 90’s also consisted solely of Reebok warm-up track suits. I imagine this would be my wardrobe had black yoga pants never been invented. One of my dad’s former bosses actually left Reebok to help start up Lululemon in the early days in Vancouver… Thank god.
Needless to say, I’m extremely enthusiastic about my week.
The REAL Skinny Margarita
On Cinco De Mayo, I had a baby shower at 11 AM in the ‘burbs. By night time, I was exhausted from the driving and indulging. When I got home late, I texted Roomie that I wanted a margarita. We didn’t have any supplies so I assumed we would go out to celebrate. Instead he made one up for me that was the most delicious tasting margaritas I have ever had.
Using a fresh grapefruit and lemon, tequila, NuNaturals Stevia Orange Drops, soda water and JCore Zero Calorie Metabolism Boosting Drink mix (you can substitute a lemonade powder drink mix), I was handed the most Sarah Fit approved drink ever and I didn’t even create it myself. It was created with ingredients I bought and have daily however. I wanted to share with you the recipe, but Roomie said it’s top secret. All I can share is that, it can be done using just these ingredients…
I use NuNaturals probably every single day in my coffee, banana ice cream or oatmeal. They sent me the new orange and lemon flavored drops last week. This is the first time I’ve used them and was blown away.
They may not have intentionally created them to mix with alcohol but they may just have found a new job in my kitchen. I’m giving away both bottles to 4 readers. To enter all you have to do is leave a comment below this post. You can find NuNaturals here on Facebook for amazing sugar-free recipes. My favorite dessert blogger Chocolate Covered Katie is a fan and uses their products all the time in her recipes!

Questions of the Day
- What is the best skinny cocktail you have ever tried? Where was it, or did you make it yourself?
- Do you feel anxious when you have to go back to places that were once so familiar when you were young like your hometown or old neighborhood?
