While I have a delicious Peanut Butter and Jelly smoothie in my book, Barry’s Bootcamp also has their own recipe and man it is good. I have a handful of readers who hate bananas and this smoothie recipe is smooth and creamy without using any! Under 300 calories, it’s the perfect meal after a morning workout. Check out the video below or keep reading for the recipe.
PB&J Smoothie (from Barry’s Bootcamp Fuel Bar)
Makes1 serving, Takes 2 Minutes
- 7 oz of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
- 1 cup of Frozen Blueberries (I say 1/2 in the video but it’s actually 1 cup!)
- 1/2 cup Frozen Strawberries
- 1 scoop protein powder of choice (Perfect Fit, Vega, etc.)
- 1/3 cup Ice
We have another smoothie recipe coming up in a couple weeks so make sure you subscribe to my YouTube channel! What is your favorite smoothie combination? Let me know down below – and don’t forget you can always throw in a handful of spinach!

Holy cow his is so creamy and so good! I just made it now and it is fantastic! Getting competition ready and I am adding this to my recipes. Thank you Sarah for sharing such an amazing recipe. Happy days!
Hi Sarah! Do you know what type of vegan protein Barry’s uses?
I actually do not know for a fact -- I think they vary based on location but in Boston it is a rice base.
Just curious -- I read the recipe, and you’re calling it a PB&J smoothie, but I see nothing peanut in there…. Is there something missing in the ingredient list?
Ahhh YES! The video has the recipe correct -- I goofed and posted too quick. The perils of a multitasker 🙁
Made this smoothie at home this morning -- rocked my world! So good. Definitely going to become my go-to recipe! Thanks 🙂
I’ve made it twice since watching this video and I’m loving it!!!
Which vega protein does Barry’s use? Vega protein smoothie, vega protein and greens or vega all in one nutritional shake?
How many calories?
Hi Sarah, in the video you say to use 1/4 cup of frozen strawberries, but in the typed up recipe you say 1/2 cup. Is it 1/4 cup or 1/2 cup of frozen strawberries in the smoothie? Thank you!!
I’m not positive to be honest, I didn’t realize there was a discrepancy. I can’t imagine a 1/4 cup of strawberries would change it that much. I would do the same amount of blueberries to strawberries.
